Who’s ready for soup? How to find beauty in disguise

Who’s ready for soup (and how does soup help us find beauty in disguise)? I was inspired by a friend to try making a soup a week! This one actually looks better than it tasted- ha!

Winter is the time for some comfort food and soup is one of those! Anyone have some good recipes?

I’m trying to be thankful for the little things. Even though this soup didn’t taste great, it was beautiful so that made me smile:).

Yes, I may have complained that I spent all that time making it and it didn’t even taste good. And then, I may have complained about the ingredients I wasted and the awful aftertaste. When I look back on this picture now, though, I’m finding joy in the colors and the visual beauty. I’m seeing beauty in disguise.

What if I had found that same beauty in the moment of disappointment? Could I, then, have chosen to thank God in the midst of my frustration?

How could I had seen the beauty in the moment (like I did in these moments)?

Where do you see beauty in disguise? Maybe you saw a beautiful sunset that made you stop and smile. Did you get a phone call from a friend or watched a student have that “aha” moment. Or maybe you walked by a classroom and heard a teacher having a restorative conversation with a student and that made you smile.

So, how can we help each other find this beauty in the moments of hard? Post a picture of a moment where you saw beauty in the midst of the hard!
